This unique course is designed for medical professionals who want to combine a love for the mountains with continuing their professional development. If you’re looking for a way to enjoy skiing during the day and top up your CPD in the evenings, this course is perfect for you.
Hosted in the beautiful French Alps in Morzine, participants will stay at a fully catered luxury chalet complete with a hot tub. The days are free for skiing, while the evenings feature educational and inspirational lectures, offering 10 hours of CPD focused on Expedition and Mountain Medicine. Join Endeavour’s expert faculty in the stunning French Alps of Morzine for a practical and immersive approach to working in remote environments.
Morzine has plenty to offer: alpine, cross country and touring ski routes, hiking, ice rinks, and alpine restaurants to suit all outdoor enthusiasts. Our course has been specifically structured to allow attendees to make the most of this incredible location. All course faculty and attendees will be staying together in a fully catered chalet.
COURSE STRUCTURE
5 day course: 1 day pre-departure lectures - online, 4 days practical in Morzine.
Luxury, all-inclusive chalet accommodation with hot tub, meals and wine.
The Ski and CPD course runs across 5 days. Each day is free for participants to ski, with private bus transfers provided to the ski lifts, just a short 3-minute drive from the chalet. In the evenings, attendees will link up with our participants on the Winter Leadership and Expedition Course to enjoy 5 educational and inspirational lectures focused on Expedition Medicine and Mountain Medicine, providing a total of 10 hours of CPD. The course faculty includes Dr. Jon Dallimore, Dr. Lucy Obolensky, Dr. Lucy Sykes, and Dr. Jonna Williamson, all of whom will present during the evening sessions.
Attendees are also invited to present their own research, passion project, or educational update; if interested, submissions can be made by emailing hello@endeavourmedical.co.uk with a synopsis of the proposed topic, which will be selected by mid-December.

Expedition, ski and CPD - WINTER Course Checklist
✓ Healthcare professional or healthcare student from the UK and the rest of our global community OR candidates who have completed certified First Aid Training
✓ No specific ski or winter skills are required to attend. An interest in trying outdoor activities in the mountains is encouraged
✓ Interest in expedition medicine, extreme environments and has an adventurous spirit
What you will GAin: CPD and Beyond
Endeavour courses deliver high-quality teaching in expedition and remote medicine. Teaching is led by experienced professionals in the field. It is immersive, holistic, and flexible to help all attendees meet their personal development goals.
All Endeavour courses are directly aligned to the professional capabilities set out within UK Foundation Training and postgraduate specialty training curricula. Specifically, all courses cover clinical assessment and prioritisation, address complexity and uncertainty, communication skills, holistic planning, fitness for practice (well-being), ethical and legal principles, health promotion, illness prevention, and leadership.
Endeavour faculty are all familiar with principles of good supervision and training and can complete any work-based assessments undertaken during the course (including CEX and CBD). Reflective practice is encouraged.
This course offers 10 hours of CPD.

Optional Extra Night: You can stay an additional night in the chalet on Friday, 24th January for €100. If interested, please email us directly.
Location, Travel & Accommodation
The chalet is located between Morzine and Les Gets with private transfer to ski slopes each day. Catered accommodation (half board) in a luxury alpine chalet with easy access to ski slopes is included in the course cost. You must book and pay for your own flights and transfers. A transfer company can be found here.
The chalet is booked from Sunday 19th until Friday 24th January. You can request to stay until Saturday 25th in the chalet for an extra day of mountain time, if required.
You are free to choose your winter activity in the mornings. The Portes du Soleil area offers a range of activities including alpine and cross country skiing, ice skating, snow shoeing, sledging, and winter hiking.
Included in the Course Fee:
Accommodation in a fully catered luxury chalet (includes food and alcohol).
Private bus transfers to the ski lifts (3-minute drive).
10 hours of CPD lectures.
Not Included:
Flights, airport transfers, ski passes, ski equipment, snacks.
