Global Responsibility Statement

  • Our courses have a strong wellbeing theme, with mental health awareness, resilience training, yoga, outdoor activities, and mindfulness meditation sessions included. We have consistent feedback that this improves morale and career satisfaction, with a positive impact on workforce retention.

  • Endeavour Medical is committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) . We strive to consider everything we do in the context of our global responsibility, recognising the intersection between healthcare, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development.

  • Endeavour Medical supports charitable projects; for example, Team Talk in Kenya promotes gender equality in rural communities through sport. This has resulted in increased numbers of girls finishing primary education, and a change in the perception of women and girls within their communities

  • As healthcare professionals we have a duty to be aware of the effects on One Health that climate change has worldwide. The concept of One Health encompasses human, animal, and planetary health, from food availability to the impact of natural disasters. We promote climate education through our social media and education platforms.

  • We promote community health and paediatric first aid training, including ‘train the trainer’ methods to ensure self-sustaining education. These programmes not only enhance immediate health outcomes, but also drive long-term sustainable development in underserved regions.

  • We encourage all Endeavour Medical faculty and delegates to consider their carbon footprint. We acknowledge that travel contributes to carbon emissions and aim to reduce this where we can. We encourage reflection and discussion on how we can all reduce our impact, sharing and learning from each other.

Where possible we choose accommodation and local food providers that are making efforts to reduce their carbon emissions and waste, with a preference for vegetarian or vegan meal options. We encourage our faculty and those attending courses to car-share or take public transport and are working to minimise our use of disposable items such as coffee cups and printed information. We regularly review our suppliers to better source essential equipment and merchandise. We promote Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle.

  • Our ethos and practice recognise that we are not perfect, but that every individual can and should contribute to the cumulative benefit of all. Through high-quality education, Endeavour Medical strives to reduce our collective negative impact and inspire positive choices in both faculty and delegates.
