MARINE WILDERNESS FIRST RESPONDER COURSE

Marine Wilderness First Responder Course

Date: Oct 4th 2023 – Oct 9th 2023
Price: £995

This sea kayaking based course is runs in accordance with the International Sea Kayaking Guides Association to give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to achieve the marine wilderness first responder qualification.

Based in a beautiful coastal location, we will immerse you in salty sea scenarios to gain insight into the practical human factors and leadership elements of saving lives at sea. This practical course allows medical theory to be applied directly to the marine environment, building upon kayak rescue techniques learnt on ISKGA courses such as Incident Management, Leadership and Sea Survival. The course culminates in a small expedition to consolidate skills whilst exploring local coastal treasures en route!

Course faculty includes RNLI doctors, surf lifesaving medics, ISKGA trainers, and water safety experts, who covered the London Olympics and big wave surfing events, to share with you the latest techniques in water rescue and marine first aid. If you are a keen kayaker aiming to lead expeditions or keen to prepare yourself with wilderness first responder skills for your own kayaking adventures, this course is for you!
